Submittals
Trades and equipment vendors submit against the requirement they were given. Progress against schedule shows who is falling behind while there is still time to do something about it. An approved submittal can be leveraged on the next project rather than rebuilt.
Non-conformance
Where work does not meet the standard, the report is raised against the system it affects and routed to the people who can close it. Nothing closes without the right sign-off.
Change control
Field changes run from pre-approval through execution with the quality checks built into each stage, and the decision makers routed in rather than remembered.
