Construction · Document Control
The current version is always the version in front of you.
One drawing, one current version. No separate email thread about which revision is live.
Every stakeholder works from the same live drawing, so there is no question about which revision is current. Superseded versions are kept, timestamped and retrievable, but nobody on site is ever working from one by mistake.
One live drawing
There is one current drawing, visible to everyone with access. Asset owner, contractor and every trade. Nobody is working from a version that has already been superseded.
Found in seconds
Search by system, location or discipline. Tagged items inside P&IDs, isometrics and general arrangements are searchable, so the right document is in front of the right person without a trip to the document controller.
Revision history
Every previous revision is retained, timestamped and retrievable, and clearly marked as historical. The current version is never ambiguous, on site or in a meeting.
Permissions and transmittals
Access is set by role, so the right people can mark up or approve and everyone else can view. Design and IFC packages issue to trade contractors in under a minute with a full audit trail, and the logic makes sure each trade receives the latest revision of everything they hold.
In the field
Update progress, capture images and mark up P&ID walkdowns from a device, assigning punches to trades and systems as you go.
After handover, the full document history stays with the facility. Evidence for the next audit, not a question mark.
